Services Provided: Food Stamps SNAP Office, Families First TANF Program, Child Care Certificate Program, Medicaid; and TennCare . You can apply for these programs at this office. Many of these services assist single mothers with child care, medical, and cash assistance. Child Care Certificate Program : The Child Care Certificate Program is the Tennessee's assistance program for low income and at risk children. Funding for the Certificate Program comes from the federal Families First/TANF block grant and the Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG). This is often referred to as the subsidized child care program. Families must be determined eligible by DHS staff before they can participate in the program. Both licensed and unlicensed providers can participate in this program and receive reimbursement from DHS for caring for qualified children.
How do I apply for emergency food stamps?
I'm a single mother of 3 and Sumner County DHS Office denied me Snap benefits because of not enough child support info when the MISDU and the friend of Court in MICHIGAN ARE CLOSED BECAUSE OF COVID. But a gentleman I know walked in there a col days ago and got approved and got his snap the next day that is not right and it's very unfair for the DHS workers to denie me and my children
